Printing your cutouts
- Print at 100 percent. In your print dialogue turn off Fit to Page or Scale to Fit, or the cutouts will come out smaller than intended.
- Use white cardstock. Around 65 lb to 110 lb holds its shape when cut and stands up on its own. Regular paper works, it is just floppier.
- Matte over glossy. Matte keeps the vintage 1930s look. Glossy adds a modern sheen that fights the artwork.
Tip
If you are on a phone, download to a computer first. It makes saving, organizing and printing your files far easier.

Questions and answers
How do I download the files on my phone?
Tap a file and your phone will either save it to your Files app (iPhone) or your Downloads folder (Android), or open it in a viewer with a share button that lets you save it. If you can, download to a computer instead: printing from a computer gives you full control over paper size and scale, which matters for these.
The link opens the PDF instead of saving it. What do I do?
That is your browser previewing the file. Use the download or save icon in the viewer, or right-click the link and choose Save link as. On an iPhone, tap the share icon and choose Save to Files.
Which paper size should I choose?
US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) if you are in the United States, Canada or Mexico. A4 (210 x 297 mm) nearly everywhere else. Both sets hold the same four designs, sized so nothing gets clipped by your printer's margins.
What is the difference between the full page cutout and the garland pack?
The full page cutout is one large piece filling the sheet, for a door, a mantel or a window. The garland pack puts eight smaller copies of the same design on one sheet, for stringing on twine, tags, place cards, jars and cupcake toppers.
My prints came out smaller than they should. Why?
Your printer scaled the page. In the print dialogue set the scale to 100 percent, or Actual size, and turn off Fit to Page or Scale to Fit. Borderless printing should stay off too.
Can I print these at a print shop?
Yes. Staples, Office Depot, FedEx Office and most local print shops will print a PDF on cardstock for you. Ask for white matte cardstock around 65 lb to 110 lb, printed at 100 percent scale on the paper size you downloaded.
Can I make the cutouts bigger or smaller?
The garland pack already gives you a smaller size. For other sizes, most PDF viewers let you set a custom scale in the print dialogue, for example 50 percent for half size. Going larger than the full page cutout will soften the artwork, so stay at or below 100 percent for the crispest print.
Can I use these for my classroom, a party or things I sell?
Yes. Print as many copies as you like for your home, classroom, parties and events, and use them in physical items you sell. The only thing you cannot do is share, resell or redistribute the files themselves, or sell them as a digital product.
I lost the files. Can I download them again?
Yes. This page stays up, so come back any time and download again. Your Etsy purchases page keeps the link too.
Will anything be mailed to me?
No. This is a digital product: you receive the PDF files only, and print them yourself or at a print shop. Nothing physical ships.
